Along with the highly coveted National award for best Female play back singer in 1996 for the film ‘Doghi’, Anjali Marathe has won a number of prestigious awards in music viz

  • The State Award – the best female playback singer – Doghi -1996
  • Shahu Modak Puraskar – the best female playback singer – Doghi – 1996
  • Zee Gaurav award – the best female playback singer – Pandhar – 2005

A psychology graduate, she started her music training at a tender age of 4 yrs from her mother Smt. Anuradha Marathe. She has learnt classical as well as light music from her mother for almost 20 yrs.

She has been a playback singer for a number of films since 1992 viz-

  • Chaukat Raja (1992),Saibaba (1993),Doghi (1994),Satchya Aat Gharat (1999),Vitthal Vitthal (2001),Pandhar (2004),Chakwa (2004),Baimanus (2006)
  • Chintu (2012),Mitra (2014)

She has had a number or solo shows like:

  • Manat Mazya – Compilation of my solo songs along with some popular numbers.
  • Tumchya Manatali Gani – Compilation of old popular songs with some original compositions.
  • Prem Unplugged – A show along with Poet Vaibhav Joshi of poetry and songs blended together, along with a number of other stage shows like- Chimangani Smaranyatra,Navya Goshti Navya Wata,Owi Te Haiku,Raga to Rocks,Iss Mod Se,Classic Harmonies and Karunopanishade

She has given playback for several TV serials like Eka Lagnachi Tisari Goshta Dollar Bahu, Maherchi Sadi, Nanda Saukhyabhare, Zuthe Sacche Gudde Bacche, Olakh Sanganakachi, and a few others.

She has rendered her voice for quite a few advertisement jingles.

She has been giving training to students in music for over 20 yrs.

Anjali Marathe along with her students will impart formal training in semi classical and western vocal as a part of the MDL model at Millennium National school with a well thought of syllabus and a plan for students to appear for the Gaandharv mahavidyalay examinations.
