Badminton

Badminton is being played all over the country and the world at large in many exciting formats. In the Indian sporting scenario it has developed in leaps and bounds over the last decade becoming the fastest growing individual sport in the country. Apart from legends like Prakash Padukone, Gopi Chand, Saina Nehwal, other Indian players are performing at the world level thus many people are taking up the sport. The sport has become extremely popular with Children, Non Professionals and Badminton Enthusiasts. Apart from the health and fitness benefits, it also provides fun experience

To cater to this need, we have devised a coaching module for Children as well as Adults, Non Professionals and Enthusiasts. Its aim will be enjoyment and participation coupled with the Basic and Intermediate level as well as cover fitness aspects. The focus will be on basics of the sport, correct footwork, stroke play using On and Off court drills. Importance will be given to methodical warm up, systematic stretching, global aspects of fitness and motor coordination along with agility exercises etc

We aim to provide the right direction for aspiring Children and Adults to attain Proficiency and Health & Fitness through Badminton. It will be our endeavor to meet your objectives of joining this program

 

Gayatri, a former international badminton player who represented India from 2004 to 2010. She has the experience of playing in more than 15 countries and has won several national and state level titles along with the being the finalist at the Wimbledon Junior Championship. Having her roots in Pune she has trained under Mr. Hemant Hardikar, Mr. Vimal Kumar, Mr. Prakash Padukone from whom she has gained vast knowledge and experience

Best World Ranking: 97 (During March 2008)
Best National Ranking: 3 (As of 8 November 2010)

  • Represented India in the Uber Cup preliminaries held at Thailand between 22nd and 28th February 2010
  • Represented India in the Senior Asian Badminton Championships at Delhi

  3. Selected to represent Indian Senior team in the Portuguese International to be held from 13 – 16 March 2008
